If you felt that there was really something gajab about this film.. Do not forget to take a saridon along with you, along with your Ipod.. The reason is .. you need the ipod to time paas for the most part of the film. If Raj kumar Santoshi thought that he is doing another Andaz Apna Apna . the audience is in for a big shock
The comedy is so silly and dry that at times, the film strains so hard for laughs that it almost feels like the director is beating you with a stick and ordering you to enjoy it.. You will not even enjoy this movie even though you are a paanchvi pass or a paanchvi fail
The film is a total trash, without any plot story or even a resemblance of any storyline. The characters including Ranbir and Katrina tries to do their best,but its like fighting a loosing battle where you have nothing to defend yourself
The film is about Ranbir a happy go lucky, 9th standard fail who is the president of Happy Club who likes to help lovers get married. Katrina as Jenny is an Christian Girl whom Ranbir loves.. but does not know that she loves some other dude Upen Patel whose part is only to flex muscles and look dumb.
The film revolves around the couple,silly situations are manufactured as the director takes the audience for a ride..Most of the times it seems that Raj Santoshi has put his entire effort in creating situations which to him seemed comical...Either the director feels that his audience has the mental capacity of a 5th grader... or he feels that Ranbir and Katrina can carry the film by their sheer chemistry.
The film strains you so much that you hope the film would end... only to loose hope as one after another situations are contrived to make a story look funny and only to delay the torture.
I only wish that Raj Kumar Santoshi has himself watched the movie before attempting to take the audience for a ride ..I am not sure even he could have watched the entire movie..
Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani is the biggest let down of the year..Do not try to watch the movie even by buying a pirated CD.
Its a pity that Ranbir and Katrina could even agree to such scripts. If you ever manage to meet Raj Kumar Santoshi.. please ask a refund of the money !!
